Human Rights Campaign president and CEO Kelley Robinson is in Dallas the day before Election Day to help get out the vote.
Why Texas? Because she believes we have good candidates that have a good chance of winning their elections. And why Dallas? Because Dallas has been getting out the vote.
She pointed out that the latest survey show that 1 in 8 Texans is LGBTQ+ so, she said, “We can make the difference in this election.”
She also noted that the Oak Lawn Library was Dallas County’s largest early voting location with more than 30,000 votes cast there.
So the day before Election Day she was in Dallas to lead volunteers in block walks and help answer phones at Democratic Party headquarters.
If you need a ride to the polls on Election Day, DART is free for those going to vote and the Democratic Party is offering free rides to the polls. Call 214- 821-8331 of you need a ride.
