The mother of a Round Rock man, who died following penis enlargement treatment at AdvancedYou in Dallas, filed a lawsuit charging adequate warning was not provided and lack of oversight by a physician.

Last September, Oren Varkony, 36, went to AdvancedYou on Mockingbird Lane at Greenville Avenue where he was injected with 10 syringes of hyaluronic acid. The substance is approved as a filler for facial wrinkles.

By that afternoon, Varkony had returned home and began having trouble breathing. He died later that evening.

An autopsy determined the death was accidental and listed a hyaluronic acid pulmonary embolism as the cause of death. Filler had entered his bloodstream and traveled to his lungs where it blocked blood vessels preventing him from breathing.

Varkony’s mother has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against AdvanceYou and its founder, Bill Moore, who did the injections, and PhalloFILL, which its website describes as “an advanced, non-surgical procedural protocol for penile girth enhancement.” PhalloFILL markets the procedure and was founded by Moore.
