State Rep. Brian Harrison is claiming victory in his war on DEI. A cover page in the University of North Texas library website that refers to the LGBTQ archives has been taken down.
Harrison posted, “I’m beyond furious!!!….THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CONTINUES PROMOTING TRANSGENDERISM!!!”
The Dallas Way President Steve Atkinson said all that is stored at UNT is history of a lot of Texas communities. There’s nothing on the site that is indoctrinating. He compared LGBTQ archives to archives of the Texas United Methodist Church also kept at UNT. There are more than 800,000 documents stored by the Methodist church, but it’s purely history used for research and won’t indoctrinate anyone.
