Dallas-based country singer Kameron Ross has a new single, “Crosswalks,” dropping on Friday, April 10. But we’re giving you an exclusive sneak preview — listen to the clip below — and Kameron is giving his fans a chance to pre-order the new rainbow-colored anthem starting tomorrow (Friday, April 3).

“My husband and I began writing this song from a place of love and frustration, thinking about our trans community, immigrants, crosswalks and the next generation navigating a world that feels like its moving backwards,” Kameron told Dallas Voice.

“We actually began writing it months ago, before knowing that the rainbow crosswalks on Cedar Springs Road would actually be removed now, which makes the timing feel incredibly meaningful,” he said. That’s why, Kameron continued, that a portion of the proceeds from sales of the new single will go to the Cedar Springs Merchants Association, “to help restore the color and community in a space that means so much to us all.

“We especially want to encourage fans to purchase the single if they can,” he added, “as it directly impacts visibility for independent artists and helps maximize the donation impact.”

Listen to the sneak preview of the song below and then head over to Kameron’s website, KameronRoss.com, to pre-order your copy of “Crosswalks,” and be sure to pick up next week’s issue of Dallas Voice, available in print and online beginning Friday, April 10, to read more about “Crosswalks,” and Kameron and exciting news about upcoming events. And as he launches this song about visibility for the LGBTQ+ community, Kameron has a special message for his fans:
