The Dallas County Dental Society | American Dental Association recently presented Dallas dentist Dr. Jon Vogel, DDS, with its “New Dentist of the Year” award. Each year Dallas County Dental Society honors outstanding members with awards to recognize those exemplary dentists who represent the high standards of DCDS. Awards are presented at the annual Installation Dinner in May.
Dr. Vogel was born and raised in Dallas, and it was here that his journey into dentistry was shaped early on by volunteer work at the Nelson-Tebedo Clinic, where he witnessed the life-changing impact of dental care for individuals living with HIV. It was a formative experience that ignited his passion for using dentistry as a means to positively transform lives
Dr. Vogel graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas and went on to earn his dental degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, where he ranked in the top 10 of his class. After graduation he returned to Dallas, and, in 2022, he became the owner of Knox Dental in 2022.
He serves on the board of directors for Resource Center, volunteers at Dental Health Arlington and has organized dental mission trips to Jamaica to provide care to underserved populations. He actively contributes to the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Dallas County Dental Society.
His areas of expertise include general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and sleep dentistry, with a particular focus on treating snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. He also offers cosmetic treatments such as clear aligners, whitening and veneers.
Dr. Vogel enjoys traveling, unwinding on the beach and spending quality time with his Italian greyhound, Sofia.
