Say hello to Mikey, the perfect mix of brains and playfulness who loves learning new tricks; show him a treat, and he’ll show you his smarts.
Mikey is a 2-year-old, 63-pound silver point terrier, and he is a dream on a leash. He’s friendly with people and great with other dogs, making him the ideal companion for a family or someone seeking a social sidekick.
Mikey currently is available for foster-to-adopt, as he is receiving medical treatment for heartworms. Like all pets from the SPCA of Texas, Mikey has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date on all his vaccinations. He is at the Dallas Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive, so come by any day of the week between noon and 6 p.m. to meet him. Animals are also available for adoption at the Ellis County Animal Care Center, 2570 FM 878 in Waxahachie.
Thanks to Hill’s Pet Nutrition, the SPCA of Texas is offering free adoptions for adult dogs and cats (those six months and over) and $50 adoptions for puppies and kittens (those under six months) through Sunday, January 12th.
